Lu y el Viento
A colorful puzzle game.
Lu y el Viento (Lu and the Wind) is a short puzzle game where I could test my designer and programmer habilities. In this project, I first developed the initial idea and then designed each of the mechanics and levels that would be part of it. I then collaborated with the rest of the programming team to get each of the parts implemented in the short time we had available (3 months).
Thanks to this project I improve a lot as a programmer, because I had to search new ways to solve problems and refine every part to get a full and bug-free videogame.
Level design
At the project's beginning I worked defining and describing the mechanics that we would develop in the game.
Then I designed the puzzles of each level, following the restrictions of the described mechanics and also creating an increasing difficulty.
Implementation
Once we specify what we wanted to the game, I worked on implementing some of the mechanics in the game engine. Mechanics that required many testing sessions and fixes to achieve their final form.
